You walked by me yesterday. You seemed sad; stressed; confused; lost. I’m sorry I didn’t lend you a smile. I was invested in my thoughts, which took me to random places as a result of my random inquiries. Nevertheless, I should have loan you a smile. You seemed like you needed one. Of course you don’t know me. I don’t know you. However, I think I understand your facial expression. I have been there before—in need of comprehension; support; sympathy—in need of a smile.
Just thinking...

That is so sweet and beautiful. I wish more people would stop and take a minute to see strangers in a "real" way, instead of just passing by avoiding all eye contact and facial expressions.
I try to smile to people, but sometimes, I'm lost in thoughts.
It feels good when others smile at me.
Lovely post. :)
aww
=D
Yeah man, it's these little observances and moments in our days that I don't know... seem profound. It just reminds me of how social of a people we are and how we need some sort of acknowledgment and "contact" in some way, every day. And that's in contrast to how focused some people are. Some go about their days totally driven by what they need to do and sometimes don't even acknowledge the world's existence. It's moments like these that remind me that, "Hey, we're people." Or simply, "I get what you're saying Aquiles!"
You are so sweet. I love this post! I hope you're having a great weekend!!
