Back in 1989, in a hot summer day, the 27th of August to be accurate, my mom went into labor. A few hours later, I was born in the capital city of the Dominican Republic, right in the middle of the Caribbean.
As I turn 20 I analyze my life’s accomplishments thus far. I think about my future goals. I try to philosophize about the age of 20. I am happy, and simply hope to continue to live life—minute by minute.
Now, I make a wish and blow out the candles. It is a happy Birth-day…
