Exploring Concepts

This is the result of an afternoon of reading, thinking, analyzing, and exploring concepts.

This is one of the Anti-federalist Papers, which analyzes the power of the judiciary in the United States. It was written in the 18th century. Thus, the ideas are complex and dense. However, it is a fascinating article that embraces the American spirit of freedom of speech .

Simply exploring...

wow! that's a lot of work into one reading paper... that's what i have to do this year for history... he calls it active reading. what happened to the good old days when we could read in peace without worrying whether we have to write something in the margins or not? or the good old days when there was a cookie monster instead of a veggie monster?

Annotating does a few things for me; one of them being providing clarity. By writing little margin notes I feel SO much better about dense material. Just be careful- try underlining and writing about some things, and using highlighters to mention only key phrases. I've saved a lot of my friend's lives by telling them that they should only have a few phrases highlighted.

Wow...I am so not envying you right now. LOL. Just looking at that paper and all the work you have done makes me tired. But I'm impressed. You obviously care a lot about your school work and really care about the subjects you are learning. As someone who enjoyed college just as much, I really appreciate that. :)
