But as the sun sets on this Friday afternoon, I am thankful for the important lesson I learned this week.
I am already into the second decade of my life. However, my parents continue to teach me the most important lessons of life. After all, these are lessons I wouldn’t have understood as a kid. I do now.
Earlier this week I called my mom to tell her about an incident and look for advice. She responded by saying:
“Don’t cry when the sun is gone, because the tears would not let you see the stars.”
I later learned that phrase was written by Violeta Parra, a famous Chilean artist.
My mom was definitely right. If we spend our time making sense of minor details, we will miss the many great things life has to offer.
So much for living life—minute by minute.
Just thinking…

True that! LOL. You are so true and so is my aunt. This is why I hate fighting and arguing. Although, in the fashion world, one must sometimes be critical of minor details because they are what can make or break an ensemble.

I agree with your mom. She clearly knows what she is talking about. Even in the 3rd and 4th,5th etc decades of your life, you will still be learning.
I totally agree with your mom and violetta parra!!! :)
