College Irony
College undergrads and graduates would agree. While college can help us grow as intellectuals, encouraging us to question the norm and explore the outcomes, it messes our living style, health, and physiology. I am currently living in hell--it is mid-terms week. From eating whenever there is time, to attending class + studying all day, and surviving on espresso shots, I have no doubt this university wants my soul. However, I am not going to complaint about it. Spring break is around the corner (guess where I'm going), and as soon as this week is over, I will announce a very nice surprise for all of you.
* I needed a break, thus I wrote a quick post...
Going back to the books,

Good luck with the next few weeks! Just keep thinking about spring break without losing focus. :]
Oh hun Good luck with your midterms!! I whole-heartedly agree that college changes you. I actually said to myself the other day I guess I'm still in commuter-college mode, meaning my car still has my books in it, there are extra pens in my glove-compartment, & it looks like someone's living in it. Darn college, it does mess with your psyche!!
Sometimes.. I wonder if college is worth the hassle.. and then at the end, after nearly two decades of learninglearninglearning, you no longer have to have that routine in your life, that's going to be a BIG shock to the system! :) x
good luck next week!
Dear Aquiles,
I do agree with your post in the very sense that University life is definitely a "life of its own", putting yourself into a different world system for four plus years depending on how long you intend to be there. It is the price we (all of us who have gone through the experience)have to pay in order to obtain a higher level of learning in our chosen disciplines.
However, I would not take it to the extreme to say that you are living in the midst of "hell", though perhaps it might be true, and certainly college life can be very demanding of us. Lots of responsibilities, projects to complete under tight schedules and non-forgiving deadlines, constant and steady studying, stressful times when things accumulate and exams (mid-terms and finals), a crazy time, no doubt about it.
It is all part of the incredibly exciting learning curve, which is "Life itself", it prepares us for the challenges ahead.
Keep at it, continue moving forward and you shall reap the rewards in due time. Our bodies and spirits are very resilient to those temporary changes.
Oh yeah, college messes up with my head too!!! Thank you for following my blog :) I really appreciate it!!
Good luck with midterms! Ugh, exams are the the thing I do NOT miss about college! LOL!

Alejandro said it so well. What you're going through, though very difficult, will prepare you for the outside world.
